WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA

Misty Mountain Primitive Campground is located close to Audra State Park and the historic covered bridge at Carrollton, WV. Much of the land lies adjacent to the Tygart River. Campers can easily view the Tygart River Gorge. The confluence of the Buckhannon and the Tygart Rivers is adjacent to the property. Fisherman’s paradise! Lots of old logging roads and trails crisscross the entire 100 plus acres for hiking and biking. NO ATVs allowed to preserve a quiet and serene environment.

Primitive Camping means no conveniences - no Wifi, no toilets, no running water, no trash cans... A true test of human endurance.
